Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the Service, creating an optional website account, or checking an acceptance box, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. The Service is not directed to children under 13.

2. No account required for the iPhone app

The production iPhone app does not require you to create or use a Filafolio account. Personal inventory is stored on your device. The app may use a random installation identifier—not your email address, Apple ID, device serial number, or advertising identifier—to request optional catalog, barcode-review, official-photo, and support services.

Optional website or beta features may use an account or a single-use invitation code. If you create such an account, you must provide accurate information, keep access secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. Invitation codes are personal, non-transferable, and may not be sold.

3. Beta service and feedback

Beta features are still being tested and may contain errors, change, or be discontinued. We may ask for feedback, but you are not required to provide it. If you submit suggestions or feedback, you grant Filafolio a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use and incorporate it without restriction or compensation, without identifying you publicly.

A qualifying Founding Beta Tester who redeemed an invitation and accepted the Founding Beta Tester Agreement before enrollment closed retains the complimentary lifetime-access benefit described in that agreement. Unused founding invitation codes are expired. Future test access does not include complimentary Pro access unless Filafolio separately provides it in writing or through an authorized Apple offer code.

4. The Service and inventory information

Filafolio helps you organize filament information such as brand, material, color, stock number, barcode, purchase price, product link, photo, and estimated grams remaining. The Service is an organizational aid, not a calibrated weighing system, accounting system, product safety guide, or guarantee of physical inventory.

To improve barcode identification across supported manufacturers, Filafolio may add confirmed, non-personal product mappings to a shared barcode registry. The shared mapping may include the barcode, brand, material, color, stock number, product link, photo link, and typical spool weight. It does not include your purchase price, remaining grams, account identity, or private inventory record.

The production app stores your personal inventory primarily on your device. You are responsible for checking your entries, exporting backups, and protecting access to the device. Removing the app, erasing the device, or losing access to it may remove inventory that was not backed up. Manufacturer names, colors, specifications, photos, prices, links, and availability may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate and should be confirmed with the manufacturer or seller before purchasing or printing.

5. Limited license and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms, Filafolio grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for lawful filament-inventory purposes. You may not:

• access or use another person’s account or inventory without permission;
• copy, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Service except where law expressly permits;
• scrape, crawl, probe, overload, disrupt, or bypass security or access controls;
• upload malicious code or use the Service to violate law or another person’s rights; or
• misrepresent your identity or affiliation with Filafolio.

6. Your content and data

You retain ownership of information and content you enter into your inventory or submit to us (“User Content”). Inventory kept only on your device is not uploaded to Filafolio. When you choose to send information to Filafolio—for example a support report, barcode label, or other request—you grant Filafolio a limited, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, and process that User Content only as reasonably necessary to complete the request, operate and secure the Service, comply with law, and provide support. You represent that you have the right to provide your User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

7. Filafolio and third-party intellectual property

The Filafolio application, website, software, source code, databases, designs, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, reports, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Filafolio, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.

FILAFOLIO is a trademark of Filafolio, LLC. You may not use the FILAFOLIO name, logo, or other brand identifiers in a manner that is likely to cause confusion about sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement without our prior written permission.

Third-party manufacturer names, trademarks, photographs, and product information remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless expressly stated.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on or link to third-party hosting and, for optional website accounts, authentication, as well as email, manufacturer, retailer, or payment services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices, and Filafolio does not control or guarantee them. If we use an affiliate link, we may receive a commission from a qualifying purchase at no additional cost to you; applicable affiliate relationships will be disclosed.

9. Free version and Filafolio Pro

The Filafolio app is free to download and permits up to five active filament entries. Before adding a sixth entry, you must unlock Filafolio Pro. Filafolio Pro is offered as a one-time $9.99 non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple, plus applicable taxes. It permanently unlocks the identified Pro features for the purchasing Apple ID for the operating life of the compatible app. It is not a recurring subscription.

Apple processes purchases, offer codes, restorations, and refund requests under its applicable terms. The complete Filafolio Pro Purchase Terms are incorporated into these Terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. The production iPhone app does not create or require a Filafolio account; you can remove local records within the app and remove the app from your device. If you separately created an optional website or beta account, you may request its deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access to optional online services if you violate these Terms, create risk or harm, fail to pay an applicable charge, or if the Service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law—will survive.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” FILAFOLIO DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ITS DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FILAFOLIO, LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, PURCHASES, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM THE SERVICE. FILAFOLIO’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FILAFOLIO FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR TO LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Filafolio, LLC and its members, managers, employees, and contractors from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to conflict-of- law principles. Before filing a claim, you and Filafolio agree to make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve it informally by written notice. Any dispute not resolved informally must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Broward County, Florida, and each party consents to that venue, except where consumer law requires otherwise.

15. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice and may request renewed acceptance. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the Service.
